This trek is a short extension to the Shivapuri, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel trek, in which you visit a beautiful hill to the south of Dhulikhel, called Balthali. In this trek, you will follow the same path till the trek to Dhulikhel and trek further towards Namobuddha and Balthali on the fifth day. Namobuddha is a holy place for Buddhists which is known as a place where lord Buddha offered his body parts as food to a hungry tiger to save its life. A religious shrine is perched on a hillock from where you can see a good landscape around. From Namobuddha you will further trek towards Balthali village passing through the various ethnic villages inhabited by Tamang and Newar communities.
From Balthali, you can see good view of the mountains in the north and the stretch of Terai plains in the south. It is a rather unexplored, yet more beautiful hill station near Kathmandu. Like Dhulikhel and Nagarkot, Balthali also offers great views of sunrise and sunset. 
On a clear day, we can see a long range of the mountains ranging from the Annapurna to the Everest.
Day 01: Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chisapani (4 hours), overnight at lodge
Day 02: Chisapani to Nagarkot (6 hours), overnight at hotel/hill resort.
Day 03: Nagarkot to Dhulikhel (5 hours), overnight at hotel/hill resort
Day 04: Dhulikhel to Namobuddha – Balthali (5hours, overnight at hill resort
Day 05: Balthali to Panauti trek (3 hours), drive to Kathmandu from Panauti
