Talking about Gosaikunda Trek route Langtang Gosaikunda Trek begins with a scenic drive to Syabrubesi from the Capital City of Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway. The drive needs around six hours. The trail from Syabrubesi then moves to Langtang Valley, crossing past many rhododendron and conifer forests along the way. The conserved region of Langtang National Park is another highlight of the trekking as the trail continues along the alpine pasture, you also cross several high passes before making up to the holy and sacred Lake of Gosainkunda. Besides the cultural and religious aspect, the region of Langtang and Gosainkunda region is also equally popular among the visiting foreign trekkers for its grand natural beauty. The Pass of Lauribinayak, which is a challenging and difficult Pass in the Langtang region, is yet another highlight of the Langtang Gosainkunda trek. The pilgrimage trekking to Gosaikunda is mostly done during the full moon of the Nepali month of Bhadra (roughly coinciding with the English month of August) when thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit the holy lake of Gosaikunda during the festival of Janai Purnima.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel
On the first day of the Gosainkunda trekking, you will be welcomed by our representatives at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. After your arrival, you will then be transferred to the Hotel where you will be briefed in short about the travel itinerary. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu 
On the second day of the itinerary, you will do sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. After finishing breakfast at the Hotel in the morning, you will begin the sightseeing tour visiting the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur districts and enjoying the ancient art and architecture of the monuments and the temples. Likewise, the tourists can also visit the holy Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath Temple and also the Bouddhanath Stupa which are important destinations for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. You will return back to the Hotel in the evening.

Day 3 – Drive to Syabrubesi 
On the third day, you will have breakfast in the morning at the Hotel and then embark on a scenic drive along the Prithvi Highway to the town of Syabrubesi along the serpentine road. After around six hours of drive, you will finally reach Syabru Besi, the starting point of the trek. Syabru Besi is full with hotels and guesthouses and you will stay overnight at one of the guesthouses.
Day 4 – Trek to Lama Hotel
Your official trekking starts the next day as you will descend further down the trail, crossing Ghopche Khola (a small river) and then a few Tamang villages before reaching Rimche village. Rimche is a wonderful village located at around 2400 meters of altitude. Walking further down the trail, the trekkers will ultimately reach Lama Hotel, the destination for the fourth day. Lama Hotel is a popular place for the tourists as they stop here for overnight during the course of the trekking.

Day 5 –Trek to Langtang Valley
You will leave Lama Hotel behind on the fifth day and resume your trekking and ascend along the trail studded with maples, oak, rhododendron and pine forests. Before reaching Langtang Valley, the trekkers will get the chance to see local flora and fauna like white monkeys and other local birds along the trail. After a short while of walking, you will reach Ghora Tabela (2970 m). After crossing Thangshyap (3140 m), the trail ascends all the way to the Langtang Village. From the village, you will be blessed with 180-degree views of the mountains including Mount Lirung, Mount Langtang, among others.

Day 6 –Trek to Kyanjin Gompa
One of the important days of Gosainkunda trekking comes on the sixth day when the trekkers move further uphill from Langtang Valley. The trail advances through the small settlements and villages of Sindum and Yamphu (3640 m). In between, you will cross Laja River to arrive at a viewpoint which provides excellent views of Kyanjin Gompa or the monastery and icefall from Lirung and Kinshung. Few more hours of walk from there, descending down the trail, we will arrive at Kyanjin Gompa (3870 m). The old Buddhist monastery in Kyanjin Gompa is very popular and significant amongst the trekkers in the Langtang region.

Day 7 – A day of hiking and rest day in Kyanjin Gompa
On the seventh day of the itinerary, the trekkers will be staying at Kyanjin Gompa for acclimatization purpose. Acclimatization to higher altitude is very important during trekking in Nepal and on this day, besides taking rest, you can also visit around the area. The Buddhist monastery in Kyanjin is very popular and the major attraction for the day. If you are willing enough, then you can also go for a short trek to the local cheese factory in the afternoon or climb Kyanjin Ri, peak, and enjoy the views of Mount Langtang Ri, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung and other mountains of the Langtang region.

Day 8 – Trek to Lama Hotel
After a day of rest at the Kyanjin Gompa, on the eighth day you will return back along the same trail and make it back to the Lama Hotel. The trail follows downhill path from Kyanjin Gompa or the monastery and after several hours of walking you will finally arrive at the Lama Hotel where you had stayed overnight earlier during the trip.

Day 9 – Trek to Thulo Syabru
On the ninth day, the trail follows further down crossing past the villages of Rimche and Bamboo Lodge, extending through Paira Lodge. After crossing past the lodge, the trail rises up to the Langtang River from where the trekkers will cross the suspension bridge before ending up at the Langtang village. After walking for a while from the Langtang Village you will reach the Syabru Village located at 2260 meters of altitude. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 10– Trek to Sing Gompa
The journey on the tenth day beings with morning breakfast at the guesthouse before you resume your trekking. The trail makes its way uphill through schools and Gompas which takes the trekkers to Dursagang (2660m) and finally to the ridge at the top of Foprang Danda at 3190 m. The trail further winds up through the Agriculture Office to Sing Gompa. Sing Gompa is a Buddhist monastery located at 3330 meters. If you have time, the trekkers can walk around Gompa and visit the Yak cheese factory where local cheese is manufactured.

Day 11 –Trek to Gosainkunda Lake
One of the most important days of trekking begins on the 11th day as the trekkers proceed through the Stupa of Sakyamuni which stretches further through the path with spectacular views of Saraswati Kunda and Bhairab Kunda along the way. The path then ascends uphill to Gosainkunda at 4460 meters of altitude. The holy lake of Gosainkunda as discussed earlier is an important pilgrimage destination for the Hindu pilgrims. A large number of Hindu pilgrims assemble at the Lake on the occasion of Janai Poornima which falls on the Nepali month of Bhadra each year. Besides, the great natural beauty of Gosainkunda Lake attracts equally large number of foreign tourists to the Langtang region.

Day 12– Trek to Tharepati
After spending a day at the holy lake of Gosainkunda, the trekkers on the next day will walk across the pine and juniper forests and then ascend the steep slope following the rocky terrain for about couple of hours to finally arrive at Tharepati. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Tharepati.

Day 13 – Trek to Kutumsang
The next day, the trekkers will move from Tharepati and head towards the village of Kutumsang. After walking for around four hours, the trekkers will finally arrive at the beautiful village of Kutumsang and rest there for the rest of the day at a guesthouse.

Day 14 – Trek to Chisapani
The path for the 15th day moves along the forest trail and rises up through Thodang Betini (2260m) and Chipling (2170m) before making a sharp downfall to reach Pati Bhanjyang (1860m). Pati Bhanjyang is a multi- ethnic village with people from Brahmin and Chhetri community dominating the population. The trail declines further to Chisapani which is located at 2134 meters of altitude. Chisapani allows panoramic views of sun set over the snow-clad mountains. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.  

Day 15 – Trek to Sundarijal and drive back to Kathmandu
On this day, the trekkers will walk for around three hours from Chisapani and finally arrive at the town of Sundarijal. On the way, the trekkers can enjoy the natural beauty of the region and also the conserved area of Shivapuri National Park. After reaching Sundarijal, you will then drive to Kathmandu. It will take around an hour for you to reach to the Capital City from Sundarijal. After reaching Kathmandu, you will then be transferred to the Hotel there in the City.

Day 16 - Free day in Kathmandu 
On the penultimate day of the Langtang Gosainkunda trekking, the trekkers have the option of taking complete rest at the Hotel or else walk along the streets of Thamel and Basantapur Durbar Square and buy souvenirs to your family back home. You can even enjoy rickshaw ride in the streets of Basantapur. You will return back to Hotel in the evening.

Day 17 –Departure from Kathmandu
On the last day of the itinerary, you will be transferred to the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu from where you can return back to your home country or to your next destination.
