Nar Phu Trekking

Nar-Phu Valley
Unspoiled and untouched, the virgin valley of Nar-Phu has so much to offer its voyagers who are in for some excitement and surprises in this part of the world. Lying in the rural and remotest part of the Nar Khola in the Manang District of Nepal, Nar-Phu opened its beauty for foreign explorers since 2003. Because of its isolation in the past, the place is still set in the medieval era where people have simple and rustic lives whose living depends upon yak herding and farming.
Trekking in Nar-Phu region means passing through high Himalayan nature (peaks, glaciers, narrow canyons) and culture (monasteries, Buddhist tradition, grazing settlement). The valley is surrounded by hills and mountains that ascend up to 7,000 meters. The journey has also to present spellbinding panoramic pictures of Annapurna massif, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre Himal, Manasalu Himal, Dhawalagiri range and Tilichi peaks.
Situated right next to neighboring Tibet, Nar-Phu valley has culture inspired by Buddhism. The renowned Tashi Lha Khang monastery draws pilgrims to pay a visit there and receive a blessing from Lama Karma Sonam Rinpochhe.
The starting point in Nar-Phu valley trekking is Besi Sahar following the popular Annapurna circuit trail and the best time of the year to trek is either early spring (March to May) or autumn (September to November). Trekkers need to be mentally and physically prepared to tread at Nar-Phu valley because it is going to be a strenuous yet satiating trip of their lives.
