I had the opportunity to make a short trip to Nepal in late June, while travelling from Hong Kong to Mumbai. Having made the trip on short notice, I really hadn’t fully planned the visit. I met Buddhi Basnet at the airport, and he was able to help me with the Everest flight, and also with a tour of the city. He arranged for the next morning sightseeing flight to Everest, and then when the flight turned back because of low visibility, he arranged for the flight the next day. For the tour of the sites in Kathmandu, he arranged for one of his drivers Dipak to take me around the city. Dipak was a very good guide, and was extremely helpful as he took me to some shops to get replacement items as my luggage was lost going into Kathmandu. Buddhi even offered to help me later to locate my luggage at the airport, as I was only there for three days. Overall it was a good experience with Blue Mountain Travel, and when I return I will definitely contact Buddhi.

My wife and I visited Nepal in March 2013 and were assisted in our arrangements by Mr Buddhi Basnet of Blue Mountain Travel & Tours. I showed Buddhi our outline programme and he suggested hotels at each stop. What I liked was the lack of pressure. Buddhi said he would check what rates he could negotiate for us but invited me to check on the internet to see if I could do better. Buddhi also suggested that we hire a car and driver for our travels outside the Kathmandu valley. At first this seemed like an extravagance but, on reflection, we warmed to the idea.The total cost for thirteen days stopping at Manakanama, Bandipur, Pokhara, Lumbini, Chitwan and back to Kathmandu was a little over USD400 including fuel. Buddhi came to our hotel at Bodhnath to introduce us to our driver, Prakash, and to see us off. The car was a comfortable two year old Indian built saloon and Prakash proved to be an excellent driver - very safe and doubling as tour guide in addition to his driving duties. There is no question that having a car and driver at our disposal greatly enhanced our enjoyment of our trip around Nepal. I would recommend others to consider this option. On our return to Kathmandu Buddhi also organised our Everest flights including early morning transport to the airport and even invited us to his home for an evening meal.
For anyone planning a trip to Nepal I can thoroughly recommend Mr Buddhi Basnet of "Blue Mountain Travels & Tours."

I found Blue Mountain Tours and Travels through Google search before my first visit to Nepal. I got a very good response through emails from Mr Buddhi Jung Basnet (Managing Director of Blue Mountain Tours). When we reached Kathmandu, Mr Buddhi Jung Basnet came to the hotel to meet us. He was well planned and explained everything very clearly about the tours. So, we went ahead and booked the Kathamandu, Pokhara and Chitwan tours with him. The drivers he provided us for the tours were very friendly and helpful. In Kathmandu, I really enjoyed visiting the ancient temples and in Pokhara the ultralight flight tour was very exciting. We were really out of time so we wanted to go to Chitwan to ride the elephants and come back the same day in the evening to Kathmandu, the other travel agents I contacted informed that it was not possible to go to Chitwan and come back the same day but with the help of Mr Buddhi Jung Basnet, I was able to visit Chitwan and take an elephant back safari and come back to Kathmandu on the same day. I would definately recommend Blue Mountain travels and tours to anyone visiting Nepal. The tours are very flexible and at the same time affordable.

Inclusive, en cuestión de minutos consiguío el permiso para hacer senderismo en las
montañas, y los boletos de avión hacia Lukla (punto de inicio del sendero hacia el
Éverest). Desde el principio fue muy claro en los conceptos incluidos en el viaje.
Cumplió con todo lo acordado, y al final nos invitó a una cena típica Nepalí,
atendidos por el y su fina esposa. Conocer Nepal es una gran experiencia

In April-May 2011, we spent almost 20 days in Nepal. We went to Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan National Park.
In Kathmandu we visited the main Buddhists and Indus temples and then we headed to Pokara from where we left for a 11-days trekking aiming the Annpurna base camp. After Pokara we went to Chitwan where we did a photographic safari, canoing and driving elephants.
In this tour we had the support of Blue Mountain Travels & Tours and we were really satisfied and very impressed with the professionalism and dedication of Mr. Buddhi Basnet.
Always kind, Buddhi received us in his house, where we enjoyed the excellent local cuisine.
During our stay we were guided by Mr. Ram Bhattharai to whom we extend special thanks. We also thanks to Barat, the porter who was always close during the trekking.
We are used to make trips and have the support of local companies, but the treatment of Blue Mountain is especially close.

In December I visited Kathmandu for several days and am incredibly pleased with the professionalism and reliability of Buddhi Basnet and Blue Mountain Tours & Treks. Buddhi helped me create a detailed itinerary beforehand and kept me posted of all important details ensuring there were no surprises or hassles. He also tailored a tour to my budget and interests, making sure to help me create a full itinerary that was at the same time not too busy or rushed. Although I had my own ideas for hotels that I found on the internet, he suggested ones that turned out being much better than I had been able to find. I think for a trip to Nepal there is no substitute for "local knowlege" and Buddhi is an expert in this area. He welcomed me at the airport with a smile and set me up with an experienced and friendly guide. He checked in with me during my short trip and I even visited his home and met his family. This kind of personal touch I could never have had otherwise, and have rarely had with other tour companies-- this made my trip to Nepal unforgettable.

I went for trek with my family in the Annapurna region in the fall of 2009. It was a great experience.
Before going there, I though trekking was only for strong and young people. I was surprised to find there are easy treks that elderlies and children can also do.
It was a great trek.

I went to Pokhara, Chitwan and Lumbini. Pokhara is a beautiful place - with good landscape, lakes and beautiful view of the mountains.
I went there for two days, but ended up spending five.
Chitwan is also a nice place. You can see some wild animals.
Lumbini is so-so. Unless you are a devotee, not really worth visiting.

I booked a trekking for Everest region in Nepal with Blue Mountain Travel and Treks in Spring 2010. I was quite excited about the trip to Everest region, but I was not expecting much of a service from the guides except showing me the way and booking the hotels as I had similar experience with another company in the past.
However, I was pleasantly surprised when this young man who was deployed to 'show me the way' went the extramile by describing about every bits and pieces including nature, history, ethnicity etc of the region we passed through.
It was nearly a fruitful trip... much more than a mere physical trekking experience ... an enriching and learning experience.
