Since Everest Base Camp Trekking is possible from two sides- EBC trek from Nepal and EBC Trek from Tibet, there exists two Mount Everest Base Camp. South Base Camp lies in Nepal at 5,364 m altitude while North Base Camp exists in Tibet at 5,150 m altitude. These camps are used by Everest climbers during their climb and lowering down. It is also used as a training platform where your instructor will provide you with basic training skills on how to climb Everest. You will learn how to fix cables and use climbing gears like crampon, axe and ladder.
If you are climbing it from Nepal, Everest Base Camp Route continues from the southeast ridgewhile the route progresses through the northeastern ridge if you trek from Tibet.

Everest Base Camp trek from Nepal is a 13days package. You will take Kathmandu Lukla flight to reach Tenzing- Hillary Airport. EBC Treks begin from Lukla. You will follow river to reach Phakding which is a small Sherpa settlement. You will walk past the trading centre in Namche Bazar to Tyangboche where you will observe large Tengboche Monastery before passing through Sherpa village of Dingboche to Lobuche and arrive at EBC on the 8th day. You will get views of some of the eight thousandersfrom EBC and Kalapathar before retracing the route back to Lukla. Base Camp Everest remains open throughout the year.
Trekking to Everest Base Camp in Tibet
EBC Trek from Tibet is 14days package. You will catch 70minutes of Kathmandu Lhasa flight and explore Lhasa to visit Monastery, Palace,Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Market from where you will reach Gyantse.GyantseDzong and Kumbum are two sites to see in Gyantse. You will reach Shigatseand visitTashilhunpo Monastery before making our journey through Ronbuk glaciers to Everest Base Camp. May to September is the best month for Everest Base Camp Trek. The itinerary has been created giving enough time for proper acclimatization. May to September is best months for Everest Trek.
