Manaslu Circuit Trek - 16 Days

Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the popular circuit treks in Nepal after the world popular Annapurna Circuit Trek. It is located in Lamjung district and is the tallest mountain in the district. Overall, the mountain is the eight tallest mountain in the world. Manaslu Circuit trekking is a 16-day long itinerary with the Go To Nepal Trekking during which you will enjoy the natural scenery of the region and also the adventures of trekking in a Himalayan country like Nepal. It is basically a tea house trekking that circles around the periphery of Manaslu Mountain, the eighth highest mountain in the world. The trail also takes the trekkers near to Nepal-Tibet border in the region. Trekking in Manaslu region also brings with it the opportunity of ascending the Larkya-La Pass which is the highest pass in the Manaslu Region.

After observing the Larkya glacier and reaching the summit of Larkya-La you will enjoy the views of Cheo, Kangguru and Annapurna II mountains. The view of raging Budhigandaki River and is one of the highlights of the trip while you can also visit the grand Sama Gompa Monastery during the Manaslu Trek. Manaslu Circuit Trekking allows you to tread along the unchartered territory for which the route permit is provided by the Nepalese government. Previously, it used to be Restricted Area Trekking.
Manaslu Circuit Treks begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola following the path along the Prithvi Highway. It will take around seven hours for you to reach Arughat Bazzar via Soti Khola.  Manaslu Circuit hence begins at Sotikhola. Crossing the small villages of Machhakhola, Jagat , Deng and Namrung, the visitors will reach Samagaon where you shall visit Samagompa Monastery and climb Larkya-La Pass to reach Chamje Village.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Once you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will find the representative from Go To Nepal Trekking waiting for you at Tribhuvan International Airport. After completing your visa formalities, you will meet our staff who will pick you up from airport and take you to the luxury hotel where you will get refreshed and stay overnight.

Day02: Drive to Soti Khola
Leaving Kathmandu early in the morning, we will take the pleasant ride to Dhading Besi which is the district head quarter of Dhading. We will take meal at Dhadingbesi and then leave the main trail. Driving continues through the gravel road and head through Arughat Bazaar to Soti Khola.

Day03: Trek to Machha Khola
We will take the descending trail before taking the steep climb through ridge to Almara. We will proceed through the pine woods to Riden Gaon. Taking brief rest at Riden Gaon, we will head to Lambesi and then drop down to Budhi Gandaki River. Finally, we will reach Machha Khola where we will stay overnight.

Day04: Trek to Jagat
Trek on sixth day begins by crossing Machha River. We will head to Khorlabesi. Enjoying the natural vista from scenic Khorlabesi village, we will move to natural hot spring called Tatopani. We will proceed through the forested ridge to Dovan. We can have a look at Budhi Gandaki River from Dovan village. From Dovan, we will continue our journey to Jagat.

Day05: Trek to Filim
Leaving Jagat, we will take the escalating trail through the valley. We will reach Sirdabas that offers spectacular view of Sringi Himal. We will descend to river. Crossing the river, we will take the rising path to Philim.

Day06: Trek to Deng
We will take the steep climb and walk past the scenic waterfalls to small Syaule Bhatti village. We will cross the suspension bridge and enter the colorful valley. We will proceed through the green valley to Deng where we will stay overnight.

Day07: Trek to Namrung
From Deng, we will descend to river. We will cross the river and follow the escalating trail that passes through pine woods. The trail passes through mani wall to reach Gyapsa. Brief trek from Gyapsa will take us to Namrung.

Day08: Trek to Sama Gaun
The trail progresses along stone gates and Mani walls to culturally rich Lho village. Exiting from the village of Lho, we will take the narrow path to Pungen glacier that offers striking views of surrounding mountains. We will walk further to Samagaon from where we can get close up view of Manaslu Mountain.

Day09: Acclimatization at Sama Gaun
It would be wise to take rest from our tiring Manaslu Circuit Trek in Samagaon. Samagaon is a pretty village which possesses grand Sama Gompa. We can either visit Sama Gompa or we can take a short hike to Birendra Tal. We can also travel to the nearby glacier valley.

Day10: Trek to Samdo
Trekking begins through the pasture land that is full of lush green vegetation. Leaving the valley, we will climb the ridge. The top of ridge offers the panoramic view of Manaslu Mountain. We will lower down to Samdo village that is located near to Tibetan border.

Day11: Trek to Dharmasala
Crossing the wooden bridge that is positioned above the raging Budhi Gandaki River, we will chase the scenic trail that offers view of Larkya Glacier. We will walk along Salka River and reach the stone house which is built as a rest house and it is named as Dharmasala. 

Day12: Trek to Bimthang via Larkya La
After brief ascend, we will follow the Larkya Glacier where we will get to see the views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. We will walk through moraines to thef Larkya La. The summit offers scenic views of Cheo, Kangguru and Annapurna II mountains. We will descend to Bimthang.     

Day13: Trek to Dharapani
Leaving Bimthang, we will proceed through the stone steps that lead us to the Mani wall. We will enter Thonje Village and take the descending trail to Dharapani where we will stay overnight.

Day14: Drive to Kathmandu
9 hours of drive from Chamje will take us to Kathmandu via Besisahar.

Day15: Rest day
This is a free day. You can spend the day according to your wish. Shopping in Thamel is the favorite pass time.

Day16: Departure
It is the day of departure. After assisting in your last moment preparation, you will be taken to Tribhuvan International Airport. We hope we will see you soon. Goodbye!!
