Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is another popular and widely followed trekking destination in the Annapurna region. Jomsom Muktinath Trekking passes along the shores of Kali Gandaki River upstream and passes through several important places of the region during the course of trek. The popular Hindu shrine of Muktinath, the popular village of Kagbeni and the town of Jomsom are some of the highlights of the Jomsom Muktinath Trek. Moreover, you will be blessed with several mountain peaks including Annapurna Mountain Range, Mount Dhaulagiri and several others. The religious significance of the trek is also quite important as many domestic tourists are seen travelling along this trail so as to worship the shrine of Muktinath and pray for salvation. Hence, Jomsom Muktinath Trek is also considered as pilgrimage trek considering the importance of Muktinath.
Trek to Jomsom Muktinath will lead to you to older territory, prehistoric sanctuary and the settlement areas of the locals who reside around the region. The locals of Kagbeni, Jomsom, etc. have their own way of life and still follow their traditional culture only practiced by them. The village of Kagbeni which has also been documented well in a major Nepali motion picture is one of the major attractions for the tourists during Jomsom Muktinath Trek. Kagbeni is famous for apples and the brandy made out of it. Likewise, the Hindu temple of Muktinath situated at around 3800 meters is the focal point of the trek as it ends with the trekkers and the pilgrims worshipping and visiting the shrine and taking blessings from the goddess.
Jomsom Muktinath Trek starts from the tourist city of Pokhara and it is a moderate type of trekking. The maximum altitude you come across during the course of trekking is around 4000 meters. The best months for trekking along Jomsom and Muktinath are between September to November and between March and April.

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
Our representatives will be there at the Airport to receive and welcome you upon your arrival at the International Airport of Kathmandu. You will then be transferred to the hotel where you will be briefed in short about the itinerary package. The rest of the time, you will be spending at the hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
The second day of the itinerary, you will be sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley, observing temples and monuments many of which have been enlisted in the UNESCO’s list of World Heritages. You will travel around the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur and observe ancient art and architecture. Also, you will sightsee around Pasthupatinath and Swyambhunath Stupa, two major pilgrimage destinations for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. In the evening, you will return back to the hotel.
Day 03: Flight / drive to Pokhara
After breakfast you will drive or take a flight to Pokhara. During the course of flight, you will get a chance to peek at the splendid mountain peaks of Manaslu, Langtang and Annapurna Mountain range. If you drive to Pokhara, you will enjoy the scenic drive along the Prithivi Highway to Pokhara. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 04: Trek to Tikedhunga
On the fourth morning, you will take breakfast at the hotel and start your trek by first driving to Nayapul which is around 42 kilometers away from the city of Pokhara. fRom Nayapul, you will walk for a short while along the easy trail before reaching the village town of Tikedhunga. A couple of hours of drive is enough to take you to Tikedhunga where you will be staying at a guesthouse overnight.
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m) and back to Tikhedhunga (2855m)
From Tikhedhunga the road marks a stream on a suspension bridge adjoining the campsite in the Tikhedhunga. The trail arises a sharp stone stairs to the large Magar village at Ulleri (2070m). Above the village the trail ascends lightly over meadow lands and cultivated fields. In between, you will come across splendid forests of Rhododendron and Oak. In the winter, the trail is covered with snowflakes. After an hour’s hike, you will come to at Nangethanti from here you will be ascending to Ghorepani located at 2850m. From Ghorepani you will back to Tikhedhunga (2855m). Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek to Tatopani (1180m)
It takes nearly 4 hours to arrive at Tadapani (1180 m). The hike starts from the village which is inhabited by Gurung. Apart from that you will get to see lots of pleasant Rhododendron, musical sounds of the birds in this area. On the way to Tatopani you will see a rivulet with its vibrant and unpolluted water as you ascend. You will come to cross a place called Bherikharka. You will be followed with the forest of Rhododendrons until you arrive at Tatopani. You can dip yourself at the hot water spring in Tatopani. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 07: Trek to Ghasa (2013m)
On the 7th day you will head to Ghasa from Tatopani after having breakfast. The trek will be very much pleasing as you will travel through the relishing environment from Tatopani to Ghasa. Ghasa is a beautiful place where you can find local Gurung villagers and talk, interact with them. Your tiredness will disappear once you find a guesthouse and start taking rest at Ghasa.
Day 08: Trek to Marpha (2667 m)
From Ghasa you will trek to Marpha (2667 m). The trek rises after passing the Kali Gandaki River. During the trek you will relish the enormous Rhododendron trees and several ethnic villages inhabited by Gurungs, Thakalis and a limited Tibetans. On the way to Marpha, you will trek along the banks of Kali Gandaki River. If you are lucky enough then, you can get those apples for free. Marpha is known for apple and apple brandy made out of the fruit. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 09: Trek to Kagbeni (2897 m)
 On the 9thday of the itinerary, you will head to Kagbeni (2897 m) from Marpha, continuing with the trek for over three hours over the bank of the river. By then you will arrive to Ekley Bhatti village. Again you will carry on a trek for an hour to head to Kagbeni. Kagbeni is positioned on the banks of two rivers. Kagbeni is a wonderful little village with great natural beauty. It is also popular for local apples and the brandy brewed by fermentation of the apples. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 10: Trek to Muktinath (3800 m)
Muktinath (3800m) is considered as a significant pilgrimage destination for the Hindus. On the tenth day, we will be heading to Muktinath from Kagbeni. Though Muktinath is popular for the Hindu temple, the place is also equally important and significant for the Buddhists as we find several Gompas and monasteries on the region. You can visit the temple and worship at the shrine, and also take holy bath inside the temple premises that has 108 stone spouts. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 11: Trek to Jomsom (2713m)
The next day, we will follow downward trail from Muktinath to Jomsom after having breakfast in the morning. It will take around 4-5 hours to reach the happening town of Jomsom which is full of hotels and guesthouses. Jomsom is very popular among the people who trek to Muktinath as tourism is the best means of the people living in this place. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 12: Flight to Pokhara                                                             
On the 12th day of the itinerary, you will take a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara in the morning. After 30 minutes of wonderful mountain flight, you will reach Pokhara. The rest of the time in Pokhara, you can either rest or travel around the city of Pokhara, visiting some of the noted and popular sites inside the lake city. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 13: Drive / Flight to Kathmandu
The next day, you will either catch a flight back to Kathmandu or else take a drive to the Capital city from Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway. Upon reaching the hotel at Kathmandu, you will take rest. In the evening, you can travel around the streets of Thamel and buy souvenirs to your loved ones back home.
Day 14: Departure
On the last day of the itinerary, you will be transferred to the International Airport in Kathmandu from where you can take a flight back to your country or to next desired destination.
