Annapurna Panorama Trek - 10 Days

Annapurna Panorama Trek is a short trekking route in the region of Annapurna circuit. Though it is a short trek, it includes most of the places and sites that come during the course of Annapurna trekking. The maximum elevation you attain during this trekking is around 3210 meter while the minimum altitude is 1040 meters. Annapurna Panorama Trekking provides the panoramic viewing of the regions surrounding Annapurna and hence the trek has been identified as the Annapurna Panorama View Trekking. It is one of the popular trekking trails in the world and it is the reason why it generates huge number of trekkers every year. Annapurna Panorama Trekking allows you to observe and view some of the great Mountain Ranges of the region including Mount Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Mount Machhepuchhre (6998m), Nilgiri (7041m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna II (7939m), Annapurna III (7555m), among others. Besides the view of the mountains and thrill of adventurous trek, trekkers will have added benefit of interacting with the local and indigenous people from the region and have an idea about their way of life.
As discussed earlier, Annapurna Panorama Trek is a short one lasting for 11 days. The best suitable time for Annapurna Panoramic View Trekking is during the months of February to June and between September to November. The rainy and the winter seasons are generally tough for hiking because of rain and snow respectively. It is also suitable for the amateur trekkers, with no previous trekking experience, as the trek is relatively easier with less altitude of climb and hike. Poon Hill is one of the highlights of the trek where you will pass through thick Rhododendron forests and some indigenous Gurung and Magar villages. Likewise, Ghorepani and the village of Ghandruk are very popular for the sunrise and sunset views. Annapurna Trek will give you general idea of trekking along the Annapurna region of Nepal and you will also come across the amazing natural beauty of the world famous region.

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
Our representatives will be there at the Airport to receive and welcome you upon your arrival at the International Airport of Kathmandu. You will then be transferred to the hotel where you will be briefed in short about the itinerary package. The rest of the time, you will be spending at the hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
The second day of the itinerary, you will be sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley, observing temples and monuments many of which have been enlisted in the UNESCO’s list of World Heritages. You will travel around the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur and observe ancient art and architecture. Also, you will sightsee around Pasthupatinath and Swyambhunath Stupa, two major pilgrimage destinations for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. In the evening, you will return back to the hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (910m)
On the following day, you will take a drive to Pokhara (around 200km) along Prithivi Highway from the capital city of Kathmandu. The drive will be around six hours long and during the course of the drive, you will come across several wonderful natural landscapes along the shores of Trishuli River. After reaching Pokhara, you will then be transferred to the hotel where you will be staying overnight.
Day 04: Trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m)
On the 4thday, after having breakfast at the hotel in the morning, you will take a drive to Nayapul (42km away from Pokhara) by car or taxi. From Nayapul, your real trek starts as you will hike for about 20 minutes to reach Birethanti. Birethanti is a small town in the region and is normally full with tourists who come to trek around Annapurna. A couple of hours of further trekking will take you Tikhe Dhunga, the destination for the fourth day.
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m)
From Tikhe Dhunga, the line crosses a stream on a suspension bridge nearby the camp site at Tikhe Dhunga. Then, the trail climbs up a vertical stepping stone stairway (with 3,300 steps) to the Magar village of Ulleri at 2080 meters of altitude. From Ulleri, you will walk further up to Nangethanti, where you will take a break for lunch. Ghorepani is near from Nangethanti as you will reach there after some hours of hiking. Ghorepani is particularly famous for sunrise and sunset views. Overnight stay at guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek to Tadapani (2500m)
On the 6thday, you will wake up early so that you can hike to Poon Hill, a wonderful view point of Annapurna region. Poon Hill offers you wonderful sight of the mountains including Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Annapurna and Fishtail (Machhapuchhre) etc. After the trip to Poon Hill, you will come back to Ghorepani and have a hot breakfast. After breakfast, your trek resumes again as you walk down to Tadapani which provides a further closer view of the sunset. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk
On the 7thday, you will trek to Ghandruk from Tadapani after having breakfast in the morning. Today you will hike along the forests and get a chance to know more about the Gurung community. Ghandruk is the second largest Gurung village in Nepal and is popular among the tourists because of its unique culture and the lifestyle of people. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Ghandruk.
Day 08: Trek to Pothana
The next day, you will further descend down from Ghandruk. The descent through the paved courtyards of Ghandruk Village, past several teahouses, takes you to the Modi Khola Valley. After few hours of hiking further down, you will reach Pothana from where you can see amazing view of Mount Fishtail (6698 m) also called as Machhapuchhre in the local language. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 09: Drive to Pokhara
The following day, you will make your way to Pokhara from Pothaha. Walking along the trail of concrete stones through the forests of Rhododendron will lead you to Dhampus. The village is occupied by diverse indigenous people. From Dhampus, you will continue to trek as you will reach the city of Pokhara after couple of hours of walking. You will be transferred to the hotel once you reach the city.
Day 10: Drive / Flight to Kathmandu
The next day, you will either catch a flight back to Kathmandu or else take a drive to the Capital city from Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway. Upon reaching the hotel at Kathmandu, you will take rest. In the evening, you can travel around the streets of Thamel and buy souvenirs to your loved ones back home.
Day 11: Departure
On the last day of the itinerary, you will be transferred to the International Airport in Kathmandu from where you can take a flight back to your country or to next desired destination.
